Todmorden Glamping

Sandwiched between the towns of Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, lies a piece of forgotten land. Once an important weir for the local mill situated on the otherside of the main road and railway bridge, the land now entertains anti-social behaviour. Before the previous owner cleared the land, it was very overgrown, there was no maintenance on the weir and this led, in part, to flooding within the immediate area.
Now, the current owner has a vision to bring the land back into useful operation to enable the justifiation of maintaining the weir while providing a unique glamping experience for visitors to the area. Tranquility Base will host 8 glamping pods partially buried underground, along with a facilities area which will contain a communal kitchen, dining area, WCs and showers and also a cycling repair/maintenance and storage room. It will also serve as the owner's home and office.
Reed Studio was employed to design the architecture and landscape along with providing planning services.
